Researchers at the Bioinformatics Lab - Computer Science Dept. (DSI) of the University of Milano work on the analysis of complex bio-molecular systems that play a central role in fundamental molecular biology research and medicine.
These topics are very challenging from a computational standpoint, since raise computational problems that stimulate the development of new machine learning methods or the readjustment of existing algorithms in the context of computational biology. Our research focus on the development of new computational methods in functional genomics and on the analysis of high-throughput bio-molecular data.
