Some facts
I was born right in the end of 1970, and this makes easier computing my age :-)
I spent my childhood between Milan and the countryside, and took the classes of accountancy and Computer Science at the high scool. After having worked for some months in a bank, I decided to graduate in Computer Science. While attending a Computational Mathematics PhD program, I occasionally worked as a professional software developer, technical translator and high-school teacher of Mathematics and Computer Science.
After my PhD I decided to partially spin off as a statistical analyst before and as a software architect after, while doing part-time academic research. Since 2001 I have been working exclusively for the University.
I love travelling (in particular to the French riviera and to Barcelona: I set up a Google map showing the places I visited) and reading Pennac, especially when flying. Since I primarily teach Computer Science I really like reading probability and statistics books written in the '50s (there's some madness in all of us, after all!).
